Welcome to Detmold, the cultural city in the region of the Teutoburg Forest. With around 73,000 inhabitants Detmold is the largest city in the district of Lippe and offers its citizens and visitors a wide range of cultural programmes, events and touristic destinations. One of these destinations trademark is the Detmolder Sommerbühne (Summerstage Detmold), organized by the city of Detmold’s KulturTeam. Admission is free and it is open air. It offers a mixture of different styles of music, even away from the worn out tracks of the commercial music industry. So it’s not always the big names that are in the foreground, but the music in the tension between tradition and high-tech. Every concert becomes unique.

For ecological reasons we would be pleased if you would travel by public transport.
Suitable parking spaces are in Rosental or in the close Zum Lustgarten multi-storey car park and the Rosental multi-storey car park in the „Blume 2000/TK-Maxx“ building. From there it is only a few meters to the venue at the market square.

Where do I find restrooms?
There are public restrooms underneath the entrance of the Detmold’s town-hall, located at the marketplace there are lavatories that are accessible by people with disability.
There are numerous participants from the gastronomy in Detmold that are part of the “Nette Toilette”-network, where you can visit the restrooms: www.die-nette-toilette.de

The event is accompanied by the local press and the organizer has the event documented at least photographically and publishes these photos on the homepage and in social media.
Photography for private use is generally permitted. It must be noted that any publication in the Internet and the commercial use of these recordings constitute a copyright infringement and can therefore be prosecuted.
We would be happy if the event is so beautiful that cell phones usage is not the audiences minds.
